DVR 106-D cannot burn TDK DVD's !

I have a Vaio PCV RS-304 equiped with a pioneer DVR 106-D to burn CD and DVD.
I updated it with the last firmware (v 1.1) downloaded from the sony site. However, the pioneer DVR 106-D was unable to recognize brandnew DVD-RW from TDK (ITEMCODE: DVD-RW47CBNEC10) !!! What can I do ? How is it possible to know if DVD will be accepted or not by the Pioneer DVR 106-D ?

What CD/DVD burning software are you using to burn the DVD?

Try a DVD+R of a different brand..

The software is Drag'n drop CD + DVD allready furnished from the beginning with the PC !
Of course, I can try different brands, but I find that this is not normal that one cannot be sure that this will be a success.
However, I need to burn DVD-RW if I want to see the video on my TV ...
Please tell me followings: If I buy DVD from Sony, do you think that I will never have problems of burning with my PC from Sony (even if the burner is a pionner one !) ?
