Taking apart any laptop is tricky due to everything being crammed together. Sony like to complicate things by 'hiding' some of the screws

You might want to allow yourself considerable time for this task, and a LOT of patience.

It seems that my computer doesn´t support this software because it wasn´t provided with my laptop. That´s why I ask this.

Moreover, does SONY provide a manual to disassemble laptops if asked?

I have just changed the processor in my GR214EP and it wasnt to hard to do and took me about an hour.

On my laptop there is a screw hidden under a little black cover near my power button. Once this screw is removed you can take the pannel with the powerbutton off and then remove the keyboard to get to the processor heatsink and fan.

Not sure if your computer will have this removabule pannel but normaly sony have arrows pointing to the screws that you have to remove to access the insides of the computer.

I would suggest clearing a area, putting down a white sheet, and then laying the screws down in the same pattern that they are on the computer. If you have a digital camera take photos of your steps or even better if you have a video camera tape it.

Also work in a clockwise or counterclockwise way when removing the screws so that you can remember where each screw came from. Or get small boxes and label each box whith the screws location. e.g. underside of laptop, keyboard etc..

You shouldent need to remove the screen to access you processor or fan so i would suggest not touching it, the screen has very fragile wires running in it. And the price of a new screen is not cheep compaired to a new HD or Processor.

Be careful when removing things like you keyboard and other pannels with buttons as they have ribbon cables attaced to the motherboard.

One other thing is that some times screws are hidden under the little rubber feet on computers. Also most cases have little clips on them to clip to the other part of a case e.g. the top and bottom caseing of you laptop, use a old credit card to pry these appart as it wont mark the case.

Remember most manufactures will make it fairly easy to get in to the computers inards as the dont want to spend ages traing staff on the various differnt computers and how to take them to bits and put them together.

Finaly there are normaly two screws on the back of the computer on on ether side these are connected to the screen support plates, if you remove these avoid moving the screen to much as it can damage the screen mounting.
