Constant Fan usage and CPU usage high

Hello All,

My 215b notebook appear to let the fan kick in as soon as I switch the machine on. Im not doing anything apart from browsing the internet. No downloads, nothing taxing.

Futhermore, the CPU usage seems excessively high (100% at times) when Im surfing.

Is this normal with these models? should I be worried?

Am I paranoid? (no need to answer that one guys) :smileygrin:

I would check for spyware etc. Try Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ and Spybot S & D from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/

Are you connecting to the web wirelessly?
If so check www.vaio-link.com for an update.

I'm afraid I don't. I have only have had this notebook 1 week so doubt if I have any adaware problems, but could you guys please point me towards some good but free spybot sites.

Hmmmmmm
Go to task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and click on processes.
Click once on CPU usage and tell me which is using the most.
