Hi

I have a K215Z notebook and I noticed that sometimes when I have my power saveings set on Battery Life or on Degrade my CPU it works at 3.06Ghz and for those settings it should work at 1.6Ghz.. why it does that? Does anybody have the same problem or know how to fix this? Its driving me mad this problem as when I use the battery it should be 1.6Ghz. Its normal to adapt to diffrent frequencies if I set it to Adaptive.
Anyways.. hope someone knows how to fix this...

Thank you.

Let me know how you get on.
Edit: I have just seen that you have been to this tread already -sorry -not much help then.

I read all the posts that you linked me to.. and I have the same versios of BIOS which you updated to.. so basicaly for me it should not have the same problem.. that's verry odd!

So now I have installed the latest BIOS (R0110X1), thankfully with no problems, so hopefully I will notice some change in processor speed dependent on workload???..

My BIOS version is R0110X1

The CPC also runs at a higher temp when at 3.06GHz....

If Sony support were much help I'd say contact them., but....

I wonder if any other K215Z owners have the same issue? If you are out there let us know....
