topic Monitor Calibration by Adobe Gamma in PCs & Accessories

I have a VAIO Laptop PCG-FR415S which has Onyx-black 15" XGA (1024 x 768) TFT screen.

I would like to calibrate the monitor by using Adobe Gamma. I use the computer for digital image editing. My questions are:-

1. What position/angle should the monitor be?
2. At the first step, what colour profile should I load? The default one is Sony LCD_Std_D65. Is the default OK to start with or should I choose something like Adobe RGB1998?
3. At the third step, what phosphors should I choose? The fault is Customs.

I would be very grateful if anyone can answer my questions plus any advice on this subject.

Many thanks
eds2000

Sony LCD_Std_D65 is the best choice for your display.
I wouldn't calibrate it with ADOBE gamma. I would use different Color profiles.

For example:

if you work with AdobeRGB (maybe on Photoshop), then you must use the same profile with your display.

Adobe Gamma is really useless. For a correct calibration you need hardware. Not your eyes.
