My old cannon used to take a sreen shot when i paused the video footage. &lt;P&gt;it is not possible in-camera, yet you can use any video-editing software to save still frames or alternatively play the video with VLC, right click into the video and save the still-frame (found under "video").&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;thank you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i can also simply take a sreen shot whilst playinf in imovie but, its moving horses and when i pause the legs are always blurred. when i pause on the video camera the picture looks less blurry. This is the only reason i asked. Thank you i will try VLC&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
