PlayMemories Home 5.5 messes up audio

I have just installed version 5.5 of PlayMemories Home and have found that after editing and saving videos the audio in the output file now wanders by several seconds. This did not happen with PMH 5.4 and previous versions. Same computer, same Windows version (7), nothing at all has changed save the PMH version.

This has rendered PMH unusable for me. I tried uninstall / reinstall, initialisation, even a Restore Point, nothing solves the problem. Does anyone have any thoughts?

In the meantime is there some way I could get PMH 5.4 back please?
