How do I print my photos

Hi - I have a Sony alpha camera. I've downloaded the photos to my pc but I don't know how to print them. When I use the print function on the computer, they come out as large A4 prints, rather than as photos on the photopaper. What am I doing wrong please? I'm sure on my old computer I had printing software, but not sure if this came with the camera or the printer. Any ideas gratefully received.

you need to click printer properties and select the correct paper type and size.
