Help with CCD -TRV27E

Can someone throw some light as how best to downlond video and audio from Sony Ccd-Trv27e handycam using a Dazzle dvc100 into windows 7.

Can download but cannot download audio. Tried windows movie maker& media player- but having problems with file recognise and no audio. Am using RAC Jacks (yellow and red)

Any help would be welcome.

If you are getting audio when playing video back on the camera or a TV, then it is likely that there is some kind of issue with the computer setup, including the Dazzle. It may be a good idea to check that your computer has the latest drivers for the DVC 100 and they are available from the following links:

On the product support page (http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles/Hardware_Installer/readmeHW10.htm) it also says that a compatible version of Studio is required for these drivers to work correctly - so you may need to check to see whether this software was supplied with the original packaging.

Failing this, if the video is definitely coming through to the computer without any sound, you could try attaching an audio cable from the red sound output (and the white if you have one available) to the line-in socket on your PC (this is the size of a regular 3.5mm headphone socket). The cable that you need looks something like this:

If this transfers the audio signal correctly, hopefully you can configure your video capture software to take the audio from the line-in socket.
