My Sony HX200V after not being used for a year will not go past the select English Language after chargeing the battery.

At this point there are two things to try:

1- Remove the battery for a few minutes and put it back in.

2- Reset the camera manually by pressing the Reset button (#29 in the parts shown here) using a pin.

If the issue remains, I'd recommend getting in touch with the Sony Centre to check the option of repairing it using this number: 01656 867347.
