Sony CFD-S70 CD & Cassette Player NO SOUD

Haven't used the player much, just few times. Now no matter what I try play, no sound (tape, cd, radio). Can anyone help. I can not just a new one, cause I don't they sell this kind of cassette/cd-player anymore

Hi @Sankku76, make sure the appropriate function is selected for the music or sound source you want to listen to, and unplug the headphones when listening through speakers.

You can switch the function by following the steps under the title of "To switch to the CD function from other functions" here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4584/25042378fe069fbc961510179f315c8c/45843471M.pdf

If the issue remains, try the steps below:

- Place the CD with the label side up.

- Clean the CD.

- Take out the CD and leave the CD compartment open for about an hour to dry moisture condensation.

- The CD-R/CD-RW could be blank or unfinalized, or there are no playable MP3 files on the disc.

- There could be a problem with the quality of the CD-R/ CD-RW, recording device or application software.

Unfortunately still not working. No sound from tape, cd or radio
