topic Sms messages disappear in 10 Series

Hi,

I've recently bought the Xperia 10 and have noticed when I write a message and save it as a draft it often is gone next time I open the sms app. It has happened many times now, I've checked archive and they aren't in there, they just vanish. Also when I go to make a call the screen goes blank, so I can't press speakerphone, see if the recipient has answered etc. Could someone please help? A new phone shouldn't have messages disappearing. Many thanks
