Is this white rectangle always on the same position on the screen?

Is it in the same position both in landscape and in portrait mode?

Start with some testing

- When you take a screenshot, is that the whole display or the same as the picture you took.

- In the Support app do the screen tests, touchscreen and display

- Restart in Safe Mode (explained in the Support app)

Let us know your findings, it's a rather weird kind of display problem.

Hello anyone know how to fix this problem. I have only had my Xperia for a month and out of nowhere the screen turns half white. I haven't dropped it and kept it in a case. The first time after about an hour the screen turned back to normal. It's happened again and it's not going back this time.

I totally agree on these steps , however, if they didn't work you can try to repair the software of your device by the Xperia companion. If that didn't work too, you will need to contact Sony for this.

Get it to your local support for repair.

That is a faulty oled display.

When I say faulty, it could be something as small as the connector not being inserted correctly, or something as big as the panel shorting somewhere.

But the only people who can deal with it, is your local support team.
