missing pictures and videos

I recently bought an Xperia X to replace the M5 i had. I did a backup of my pics and videos using the sony bridge. when i did a restore to the new device(xperia x), only 1907 out of 2187 pictures were restored and 10 out of 19 videos. I have tried to do the restore a couple more times and i still get the same result. would really love to have my pictures and videos back, help!

Welcome to the community.

Bridge for Mac has been discontinued, and we now use Xperia Companion. Try it with that.

thank you CameronT, I have downloaded the Xperia Companion.

My problem remains however as I backed up the old device using sony bridge, then I did a factory reset on it. But as I said earlier in restoring to the new xperia device with sony bridge where the backup resides, a number of pictures and videos do not come into the new device

Were the images and videos stored on just one memory? I mean did you back up both internal memory and the SD card memory. Maybe some of your media are left in the SD card.

In Xperia Companion there is an option called Xperia Transfer. Use that to transfer the content from your backup.
