Hello,

My Brother has this phone. He recently changed and forgot the new pattern code he set, and the finger sensor seems to be disabled. There is no Forgot Passcode option. I read about logging in to the phone using the Gmail device manager, but this does not work, I think because his phone is on plane mode. The only screen he can access on the phone is to enter a pattern. I believe he has 11/30 attempts left before the phone resets.

I read something about OTG cables, would this work considering his phone is on the lock screen?

Any advice helpful, thank you.

Darren

Please be aware that this will erase the handset, and without being able to unlock the screen, you won't be able to back up the phone.

Thanks for the suggestion @uliwooly. I tried to pull down the notification pane, but it does not drop down. Are you aware of any other methods? My brother needs to get some photos off of it, at which point he won't mind having to restore it.

Darren

It will allow you to plug in a corded mouse into your phone and use a cursor on your screen to control it. You should be able to enter your PIN and navigate your phone.

Sadly that's not possible. It restarts, shows Sony logo and goes straight to unlock screen, then shows I now have 13 more attempts. I do not see the time at any point, and cannot drag down the quick settings, I have tried many times.
