Battery Drain

My battery drains very quick. 100 to 0% in about 12 hours even when I do nothing with my phone, when I play it's faster drainage.

Does this happen to anybody? I've already taken my phone to shop to fix this but no issue was found.

And this is what is happening with my phone when I sleep.

Have to charge twice a day. Sometimes have to wait my phone turned off until I can charge. It is really frustrating...

I don't know how the forum could help if you already have sent your device for repairs at your local service center,.

try to search about "battery drain" on the search bar above. and follow the instructions , post your screen shots here

Thanks for your advice. But I've seen the exact same comment of yours on the other thread 😛

I believe I have done everything I could do in the forum, google and youtube. It's been more than a month struggling this.

I am just wondering if anybody else has this issue. must be somewhere, someone! I just need some hint for this from people, not robots.

No, it doesn't stay on. It acts normal, except the battery drain. My phone never gets hot either.

This mysterious battery drain doesn't come up on this battery usage.

Have anything syncing? In particular 'app data' from Google account

What are the icons top left by the way? One looks like a cloud sync and the other looks like an ESET Scan

Happened to me before... As for me, the culprit is Google photos app keep syncing all my stored media to Google server and my battery drain like crazy.

Maybe you can check similar app that sync continuously.

Other possibilities maybe you have bad signal, it also drain battery really fast. Try airplane mode to see if it really is the culprit.

Another possibility maybe your battery not calibrated properly. Google can help you with that.

Hi, again.
Things I've done.
・Factory reset, 3 times.
・A lot of times of Air plane mode.
・Safe mode.
・Low lignt screen, wifi off, sinc off, deleting apps whatever I could do.

My old temporary Sony Xperia E4 is perfectly fine with the exact same condition.

Running a software repair from computer, adviced from customer care.

I think it's been fixed?

This is when I was sleeping last night. it's half less battery drain. Am I the only one to think this is still too much usage?

Btw, I thought factory reset and Repair from computer were the same thing. but actually a bit of difference.

It's better than before. Turn off the features like smart backlight and tap to wake and other similar apps that monitor the state of the phone. That should squeeze a bit more juice out of the battery.

If you're not using specific Google apps, you can sign out of those.

Airplane mode shouldn't have an adverse effect. I had my phone on for 3 days only losing 15% when I was first testing my customization.

But like I was saying and how you found out, cloud and sync services drain the battery.

2 days ago.

airplane mode on, sync off, light adjustment off.

Last night.

Airplane mode off, sync on, light adjustment on.

It might be causing problems from one of those.

I am just wondering about that gap.Didn't turn the phone off. That's when I started the Airplane mode on. I played a bit of game in that gap but no drainage.

I'll try sync off tonight.

note: It didn't do any progress like this when I did factory reset on the phone. It still does that though, even after the recovery from computer.

Just so you know, Xperia E4 doesn't do any weird battery drain with full function.

Try and match airplane mode graph using normal settings, but leave phone in standby for same duration. Dont use it, or turn screen on during the test. Then post up the graph for comparison. The airplane mode graph looks good.

This was about the same time frame with heavy usage, with a loop back vpn and firewall.

That spike you see is when the phone entered standby mode while I was driving

When I was trying an airplane mode. It had nothing wrong with my battery drainage.

And I found something was going on with my bar. It went on and off constantly. And I thought there was something wrong with my sim or network. So I changed my network setting "automatic" to "manual" and changed the type from "LTE" to "WCDMA".

IT WORKED!!

It's been 3 or 4 days without any problem so far. And I love to see my battery looking healthy.

Thank you all of your support and ideas. I wonder why this only happened to me.

Hope this might help other people if anything like this happens.

Solved! (Fingers crossed)

P.S. I am using my phone with full function now.

Battery drain Google Services

Hadn't used my phone much this morning from taking it off charge and noticed battery level was heading towards 50% despite this very little usage. Google Services seems to be the culprit so have disabled a lot of the syncs from the Google Account settings but problem is still happening.

Any ideas or tips?
