Hey guys I've got a couple for questions about the so-02j version of x compact :

1. Is it really stuck on Android 6 with no update available?

2. I heard that the finger print scanner works only in Japan is it really true?

1. according to Xperia Japan website https://www.sonymobile.co.jp/xperia/docomo/so-02j/spec.html

the device is still listed as android 6.0 with no indications of upgrades

2. the fingerprint sensor should work even outside japan,,

if you have a USA Xperia and/or flash the USA firmware the fingerprint won't work; with that said, if I'm not mistaken, if you flash a japanese version with the global generic firmware it could brick it.
