Spell checker stopped working!!!

From the very first day of using, It has never worked as it was supposed to.

But today I noticed that it stopped working COMPLETELY on my two different sony phones under Android 8.0.

What I text with gboard or swiftkeyboard, it doesn't detect any spelling errors as well as underlines the words for any language.

Wiping cache didn't work for me.

Tech support, advise on the issue asap.

PS: the devices where with the issue :Xperia xz premium and Xperia xz with all the latest system updates installed

In Swiftkey, is Autcorrect turned on? On the keyboard click on the "+" symbol on the line above the alphanumeric keys and then select the gear icon. Check that the Autocorrect is turned on (green tick symbol)

@NN11 double check in Settings > Languages & input > Advanced > Spell checker if it's turned on and set to your preferred language.

The feature has always been on. And it's not working.

Any other solutions?

It has been already a week since I posted the issue and asked for help!

I am wondering if technical support is going to react on the request somehow and help resolve the issue????? 🤔

PS: do they at least read this forum?
