      <description>&lt;P&gt;Up until recently I've been using the fingerprint unlock of the phone no problems but all of a sudden its saying hardware not available but then works on apps but now at times this isn't even working why?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm in UK, I've even done a factory reset.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Have you tried Safe Mode at all.....try to think if you've downloaded any new 3rd party apps around the time this occurred.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes tried safe mode still hit or miss and only have 2 3rd party apps that uses fingerprint and have had the issue even with them not installed or setup to use fingerprint.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to &lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/c-sonymobile/backup+using+Xperia+Companion/pd-p/Xperia_Companion_Backup_Restore" class="lia-product-mention" data-product="192-1"&gt;backup using Xperia Companion&lt;/A&gt;, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Follow the steps given in blue links, and keep us updated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
