I finally managed to update my phone software using the update available on the website (version 2.10.10.9) But now I noticed that PC Companion is still saying that updates are available to download, so how do I know what version of the updates are available through PC Companion? or is the SE website more up to date?

Hi everyone

Not sure if this topic has been discussed before, but I've just purchased my X10 mini and tried updating the phone software but I'm receiving an error regarding my internet connection, even though my connection is fine. The download gets to near completion and then I receive an error message. I tried updating via PC Companion and the update available on the site (version 2.10.10.9) but the same problem occurs.

What could be the reason for this?

Updating needs a steady internet connection. Have you used SEUS to update the phone? Some have reported PC Companion errors. Try to use SEUS to update. SEUS is more stable than PC Companion is.

SEUS is a software provided by SE. You can download it from http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/xperiax10minipro?cc=gb&lc=en make sure that you select the correct phone from left pane.

You will have a retry/resume option. Check your internet connection and click this option. The process actually resumes from the point where it was cut. Make sure that you are not using anyother application that can reduce your connection speed. Check firewall and antivirus settings also.
