Market Down or what?

Hi all,

Today I cannot download anything from from market. I am in Sweden, but using an X10a (long story....) and a whila ago we got market with Payed apps. Downloading have worked since but today it is all stopped. I can still enter market and brows, but not download anything. Am I the only one with this prob? Have of course tried restarting the device.

Here in the Caribbean, I'm not having any issues. I haven't noticed any other posts about this either.

When you try and download something, does it fail? Does it display an error?

I have the same issue here in Norway today, apps that claim they can be updated, but download fails :S

Hi Badhabit,

An update was recently installed for Android Market and some users have experienced some issues after this. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > find Market > tap on "Uninstall updates".

After this you will be able to update Market again once you start the application.

Let me know if this solved your issue.

Hey guys,

I live in Norway too and have had this problem exactly from the day the paid app feature appeared. This is around a week and some days ago and have up until now (19th of Oct) never been able to download or update from the market place. Was in three stores today to finally ask why. Well, guess what fixed it.

Exactly the method Markus posted above.

i've had this problem as well (fixed it using the same method as markus said), what i would like to know is what was the problem, as the update worked for a while, did the update break down or was there a different problem and the main point, will it happen again if the market is updated, as i dont remember manually updating the market.

I do not know what was causing this or why it happened. I had the same issue with my Xperia X10 and for me Market was working some days after the update as well before this occured.

The updates of the Android Market application are done in the background so you won't get a notification about this.

I have an updated version of market and it is functioning best as before. I think this must be some regional issue. SE has to look into this matter. The update has not made much change, only that the comments are available in a separate tab and overall look and feel has improved.

hiya, after you have unistalled the market thing how do u get it back so you can still get ur updates...i now have the old version of the market?

i've now got the update back, seems to be working again. hopefully the fault is fixed

how did you get the update back? i cant seem to do it, since i unistalled it like markus said i cant get the update back, please help
