I searched again and i read something about a brightness sensor.. (wtf i didn't know about that) I think all this stuff that are trying to help us and improve our lives have no practical use. Any idea now how to turn off the sensor..?

I have a problem with the screen of my x10 mini. The screen brightness is unsteady. The screen brightness goes up and down when I'm using the phone and i don't know why...

I searched via the forum and saw a thread that has the same topic but they didn't come up with a solution so i open the the discussion again.. Any idea? Thank you.

Download an application named Quick Settings from the market. It’s free. This application has the capability to disable auto brightness.

Brightness control in Xperia is to save the battery. If you don't want to use it then go for the application mentioned above. Let us know whether it helped.

Are you sure that Quick Settings won't work? Well in my case, it works well and the very first option in it is to configure automated brightness change.

You can disable the setting, but the sensor will not be disabled.

Try it and hold your device to a light-source (if you are in a low-lighted room) then quickly take it back to you and watch at the display.

I use the mini, perhaps you use the mini pro?
