Xperia 1 V WiFi Calling

I’m on my third Xperia 1 V from EE. Each phone had appalling WiFi speeds and intermittent WiFi calling issues.

I have a 500mb internet connection. WiFi speeds on the Sony averaged 110mb whilst my iPhone 15 Pro Max exceeds 450mb. There were occasions where WiFi speeds would drop to around 3mb.

I’ve also experienced problems with WiFi calling where the call doesn’t connect, drops out or suffers distortion. WiFi calling on my iPhone is faultless.

I’ve seen several forums with people reporting similar issues. Is this normal for a Sony phone worth £1,300? I’m so disappointed.

Running the latest software and a factory reset failed to resolve the issue on any of the phones. Resetting network settings and turning WiFi calling off/on made no difference.

Any suggestions/fixes welcome.

Try the software repair as well.
