Phone won't power on

It won't power on, won't charge. No configuration of buttons do anything, no LED, nothing...

Xperia companion has proven useless in this scenario..

aside from my pc intermittently detecting the phone as a COM5 device before it loops out, still in a dead state.

Try Plugging in the power lead then simultaneously pressing the power button and the volume rocker switch. This should reboot your device. I'd suggest you remove the Sd card as the reboot could possibly format that as well.

Follow @BigWillieP 's suggestion, connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 hours
