Battery suddenly empty - phone turns off

hH, I've had Xperia E1 for a few months and noticed the problem above.

Every once in a while, when the battery is nowhere near being empty, it just drains out almost immediately and the phone shuts down. I can't turn it on again unless I plug it in and it starts charging with a red, flashing light.

I don't have many apps running and what I have I've tried switching off, but it doesn't matter since the battery drain doesn't happen regularly, but randomly.

Is there a way to fix it?

I was late for work recently because it died like that in the middle of the night and the alarm didn't go off.

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..
