Screen mirroring Android phone to Bravia 3. HOW?!

I've been trying to do this on and off since I got the TV at the beginning of the year. After asking chat GPT numerous times I'm finally asking on here instead.

How do i mirror the whole screen of my Android phone to the TV? Other smart TVs I've had have been easy, just pull down from top of screen and choose Wireless Projection and my TVs in the list. With the Bravia 3, that's not an option, it doesn't show.

I can see that Google Cast is built in and already installed on the TV, so I've tried doing it through a third party google app on my phone like Google Home but it still doesn't recognise the TV.

Please, what the hell am i doing wrong?!

Mirroring is done via miracast protocol that is not supported anymore from Sony TVs . Chrome should have an option like transmit on android that relies on google cast protocol
