Just getting this TV set up with a soundbar connected (via optical). I can connect bluetooth headphones no problem (in this case MDRXB950BT, which work fine with firestick on another TV):

Connected a la https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00159290

They pair as expected and show up under connected devices with a headset icon

I get a popup with A2DP audio connected when connecting them

However, there's no sound. The TV sound continues to play from whatever source is selected - the options are TV Speakers and Audio System. How do I actually get it to output to bluetooth?

Thanks for the reply - I had already done a restart via the menu, but I did another with the remote - with the same result - I get popups when the headphones are connected and disconnected but no sound.

Checking again with sound on TV speakers, I can tell the TV sound profile changes when BT is connected - sounds like it's bypassing the sound settings like surround etc - but it still comes out from the speaker and nothing over Bluetooth.

Is the expected behaviour to switch to BT output when connected and turn off the TV speakers? If so, it's definitely not happening...

On my old Sony Bravia the speakers worked normally with the headset (Amplicomms) Bluetooth headset in and working. It doesn’t on my 80JS.
