has any one noticed that yo only get dolby atmos on netflix i tried disney plus but you dont get dolby atmos so i watched the same program on disney plus on the amazon fire tv cube 2nd gen and i got dolby atmos no problem so mutch for the tv supporting dolby atmos

having the same problem with my kd-49xf9005. I can get atmos on the Netflix app to my Sonos arc but everyhing else fails. I’m currently trying to use my PlayStation 4 to watch an atmos film but I can’t get it to work. I have also tried downloading atmos demos and connecting directly to the Tv via usb and it won’t work either. Hopfully someone can help

that is why i had to buy the amazon fire tv cube 2nd gen so that i can get dolby atmos when i spoke to sony customer support they said the tv only supports dolby atmos on netflix and not the other apps they could not tell me if they they were going to do a update to solve this problem

I believe you've confused native and pass-through Dolby Atmos support, as looking through the specifications for both models, you cannot find Dolby Atmos mentioned.

Pass-through usually works when you have an Atmos-compatible HDMI device connected to the TV and some streaming services also support it natively.

my tv my amazon fire tv 2nd gen my sky q 2trb box are all connected to a anthem mrx 720 i get dolby atmos though the amazon fire tv and the sky q box but not the tv

XF will only give "atmos" from built in apps. In fact, just from some streaming built in apps that use "atmos" over DD+. Getting true lossless atmos from any app is impossible. The same goes for XG except that it will passthrough atmos from external sources connected to HDMI inputs. But when it comes to built in apps, it is the same.
